First thing I usually do is hook up the digital camera.  I use a Canon PowerShot S10.  The PowerShot Browser software is really great.  Easy to use.  To gain speed, I typically download EVERYTHING then delete anything I don't want.  It's faster than deleting items off the cameras memory card.

I have been doing a photo essay on Spoon River Anthology (just for the record, it is a real place).  You'll also see that I am downloading the photos you saw on the previous page of this project (photo 12 and photo 13).
