ROCKFORD
    Ben Volkman and family and Paul Volkman spent Sunday with Peter Volkman and wife at St. Elmo.
    George Largent threshed soy beans for Otto Roellig last week.
    Gertrude Volkman received word Sunday that her brother, Mr. Harley Gill, was hurt in a car wreck near Pana.
    Roy Largent called on Tins Wade Saturday morning.
    Claude Rawlings was a caller in Strasburg Saturday night.
    Chas. Shanholtzer was in Strasburg Thursday.
    George Largent called on his son Roy Sunday afternoon.
    Roy Largent took over 100 pounds of fine honey from his bees Sunday morning.
    Mrs. Maude [M. (Hoy)] Rawdin [Smith] is treating her home with a new roof.
    Some of the boys are going north this week to shuck corn.
    Paul Volkman and family spent Saturday evening with Roy Largent and family and enjoyed the radio.
    Gahart Roellig was a Stewardson caller Saturday morning.
