     Clyde Compton and Jim Cain were business callers in East Salem Thursday.
     George Wheat and family spent Sunday with Joe Severe’s of Mt. Carmel.
     Bert Breighner assisted Dave Ulrich bale hay Thursday.
     Tom Westenhaver made a business trip to Shelbyville Friday.
     Henry Gottman was a business caller at Wheat Bros. Monday.
     Joe Tripp was a business caller at A. H. Smith’s Saturday.
     Mrs. Lloyd Pease is much improved.
     Elmer Thompson spent Sunday with John Edwards near Herborn.
     Shuff brothers of Baster were callers here Sunday.
    Marion King of Mode was a business caller here Thursday.
    Arthur Shields and family of Decatur spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Smith of this place.

     Robert Adams of Mt. Zion was a business caller here Monday.
     George Severe accompanied by Adolph Barrett were Clarksburg callers Monday.

PRAIRIE
     Gilbert Ulmer threshed timothy and oats for Mrs. Maude [M. (Hoy)] Rawdin [Smith] and son Ira [A. Rawdin] Saturday.
     Mrs. [Mathilda] Bill [William H. Y.] Ruwe and Mrs. Freida Harmon and children spent Friday with Mrs. Emma Bartman and daughters Friday.
     Miss Mildred Bartman [Beck] and Mrs. Freida Harmon were shopping in Strasburg Saturday evening.
     Leevern Rawdin and Delbert Roley attended the dance at Strasburg Saturday evening.
