ROCKFORD
      Mrs. Marie [(Smith)] Largent and children spent Monday afternoon with Mrs. Lydia Rawlings and children.
    Miss Cleo Jones [Moran] has improved so she can be in school again.
    A. B. Kearney and wife and Mrs. Arthur Kearney and son Wayne were visiting Thursday afternoon.
    Paul Volkman and wife motored to St. Elmo Thursday and spent the day with his father.
    Blanche [Ishmael] Gottman spent a few days last week with Mrs. Laura Wade.
    Mrs. Roy Largent and children spent Thursday with her mother, Mrs. Rawdin.
    Mrs. Maude [M. (Hoy)] Rawdin [Smith] and son Leeverne were shopping in Stewardson Thursday evening.
    Ed Duncan called on Roy Largent Saturday morning.
    Joe Falk was here Saturday.
    Claude Rawlings and family were shopping in Strasburg Saturday evening.
    Paul Volkman and children were in Strasburg Sunday morning.
    Roy Largent and family spent Sunday in Old Mode.
    Ben Volkman’s entertained Mr. and Mrs. Rosene and son from Stewardson Sunday.
    Harry Thomas and family called on Paul Volkman and family Sunday.
    Audra Wheat and some lady friends were through here Sunday morning.
    Martin Pfeiffer and family and Ben Volkman and family spent Sunday evening with Herman [F.] Bartman and family.
    Ab [Albert] Shaw were at H. T. Wade’s Sunday.
