ROCKFORD
      Mrs. John Rawdin and son Leeverne were in Shelbyville Monday.
      Paul Volkman called on Ben Volkman Tuesday.
      Dr. Schroeder was called to see Mrs. Roy Largent Tuesday afternoon.
      Another sign of spring is the Meadow Lark was singing last Wednesday. The Bluebird also is here.
      Mrs. Ben Volkman and son Maurice Dale, spent Wednesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Krile. Mrs. Krile is very ill.
     Chas. Shanholtzer and children entertained Tuesday evening with a dance in their home.
     George Largent hauled a load of wood for his son Wednesday morning.
     Ben Volkman called on Charles Shanholtzer last Thursday morning.
     Richland creek was able to be up and out again Thursday.
     Ben Volkman and wife called on Roy Largent and family Thursday evening.
     Irene and Iona Lawrence went to Effingham Tuesday.
     Claude Rawlings called on Chas. Shanholtzer Thursday morning.
     Delbert Roley is assisting Leeverne Rawdin with his work.
     Mrs. John Rawdin called on Mrs. Roy Largent Friday afternoon.
     Theo Lawrence was a Clarksburg caller Thursday.
     Mrs. Ben Volkman was called to the bedside of her father, Dan Krile Friday evening. He had another stroke of apoplexy. Mrs. Krile has been bedfast for the past eight weeks.
     The birthday party given at the John Lenz home was well attended Friday night.
     Ben Volkman was in Strasburg Saturday and helped care for his wife's parents.
     Clay Robison, Jr. spent Saturday afternoon with Paul Louis and Dean Volkman.
     Mrs. Frieda Harmon was a Strasburg shopper Saturday afternoon.
     Mrs. Ben Volkman was called to the bedside of her mother, Mrs. Dan Krile, Sunday.
     Claud Rawlings was in Strasburg Saturday.
     Paul Volkman and children were in Strasburg Saturday afternoon.
     Dorothy Volkman spent Sunday and Sunday night with Wilbur and Norma Jeanne Largent.
     Kenneth Volkman was calling here Sunday afternoon.
     Mr. and Mrs. Dan Krile were reported a little better Monday morning.
