ROCKFORD
Little Dorothy Volkman, six year old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Volkman was operated on for the removal of
her appendix last Tuesday morning at the Memorial Hospital in
Shelbyville.
Thomas Ulmer was in Strasburg Wednesday afternoon.
Mrs. John Rawdin spent Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. Roy Largent and
children.
Leeverne and Ira [A.] Rawdin were in Decatur Wednesday.
Louis Lenz and Tom Ulmer hauled wood for Ben Volkman one day last week.
Mrs.
Ben Volkman is is saddened at the passing of her mother, Mrs. Dan
Krile, Wednesday morning. We extend our sympathy.
Walter
Washer was through these parts last week looking up votes.
Claud
Rawlings, wife and daughter
were in Strasburg Wednesday.
H.
T. Wade drug the roads Thursday.
Roy
Largent and Leeverne Rawdin were in Stewardson Thursday.
Paul
Volkman and family called on Mrs. Ben Volkman and sons Wednesday
evening.
Paul,
Louis and Dean Volkman spent Thursday night at Louis Lenz’s
Henry
Rincker was cutting wood in his timber last week.
We
are glad to report Mr. Dan Ruff is able to be back with us on his mail
route after several weeks’ illness with heart trouble.
Roy
Largent and family called on Mrs. Maude [M. (Hoy)] Rawdin
[Smith] Friday.
Ben
Volkman and son were in Strasburg Saturday.
Dean
Volkman spent the weekend with his grandfather, Mr. Dan Krile.
We
are very sorry to report that little Dorothy Volkman is not so well at
this time. She is a patient in the Shelby County Memorial Hospital.
Ira
[A.] Rawdin and brother, Lee, were in Decatur, Saturday.
Ruth
Volkman and sons called on Paul Volkman and family Sunday evening.
