ROCKFORD
   Mr. and Mrs. Claude Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Ira [A.] Rawdin and children, Mrs. Roy Largent and children and Bert Kearney and wife were in Shelbyville Monday afternoon.
   Mr. and Mrs. Claude Smith entertained company Tuesday.
   Ester Rawlings visited school one day last week.
   Mrs. Martha Jones is able to be up again.
   Roy Largent and father are digging their winter’s coal near Fancher.
   This district was well represented at the home-coming at Strasburg Saturday. Everyone having a fine time. We thank Strasburg for their fine program.
   George Young of Herborn was here selling apples one day last week.
   George Fouste of Cherry Grove district was showing his fine big horse at Strasburg Saturday. He took first place.
   Tom Ulmer was a Strasburg caller Saturday morning.
Andy [Andrew] Welton, Shelby Robison, Harve [Harvey] Wiley, Roy Largent, Ben Volkman, Eddie Roellig, Walter Manhart all won prizes at the home-coming at Strasburg Saturday.
