Henry Tinsley Wade
According to the personal diary of his daughter,
Dora, Henry Tinsley Wade was born February 4, 1868. Henry was
nicknamed "Tins." He is sometimes referred to as "Tinsley" or "Tinsman."
On December 6, 1892, he married
Laura Belle Shaw in Shelby County. They farmed about 30 acres in Section
7 of Prairie Township in Shelby County. The property is north of
Richland Creek and near Hidden Springs State Forest.
The Wade family was among the
early settlers of Shelby County. Washburn Wade
settled what is now known as Tower Hill. Washburn's son, Young Lee
Wade, was Henry Tinsley Wade's father. (Young Lee Wade is buried
in the Union Cemetery south of Hidden Springs State Forest.)
